The "B" Family

Military life can take us on journeys that we never realized we could handle. When you say good bye to a loved one no matter the time it is always hard in any situation. The anticipation leading up to a deployment  is one of the hardest things I have done yet. Watching your spouse walk away to go to a combat zone is the most heart wrenching and stressful moment that anyone can endure. Though this is our first deployment, I have learned that it doesn't matter how many times they have gone it is always hard. The military spouse is strong though, we wipe off our tears and carry on. Let yourself get mad..scream, cry, get mad…then put your big girl panties on and get it done! We do it because we honor and love our soldier. The best advice I have heard is to embrace and extend your arms to everyone you meet along your military journey and know that these friendships, bonds and the sisterhood developed will guide you through the good times, the bad and all the things in between. Family is the most important thing and the military family is one of the strongest bonds that exist. To my extended military family thank you for your service, dedication and devotion. I’ve had to depend on myself and the very close friends I have made while being here. There are other spouses who can relate, and support you.Your situation is never unique–someone else has already been through it and can help you in some way. Mike and Jenna have played a huge role in my support system I have built up here. Mike is first to pitch in where ever needed, and takes time to show each of my children love and affection when we visit. Jenna is so loving and has such a big heart, always there to be a support and listen.  I could go on and on about all my friends and my support system I have.....My biggest hope is that I maybe  as much of a support for you, as what your family has shown to mine. Mike, thank you for your service, our prayers are with you, we will see you soon! Jenna sleep overs and a girlie movie can be arranged! -Love ya guys!

The Wyatt Family

The Wyatt family welcomed a new baby girl into their family, and I was the lucky one that got to take her pictures! We also grabbed some family pictures and I am so glad we did. We were ever so blessed to have the Wyatt family as our neighbors, and will miss them as their travels with the Army take them else where. Thank you so much for letting me capture these memories at this precious time in your lives!

Goodness Sakes I am back!

I am taking it slow these days. Since having our baby girl we have moved  and  been enduring the life the Army gives us! I am a full time Momma of two and loving every moment of it. I never saw myself staying at home with my children. I always pictured my self as a working Momma, but staying home with my kiddos has been the greatest and most rewarding thing I have ever done! It is so exciting to  build forts under the kitchen table, make mud pies, dance and sing with my son, and even get the most precious snuggles from both my babies! The day you hear your kid count to 5 or sing the alphabet is something you will never forget. I am blessed.

Ryan is turning 2!

Good gracious where does time go?  Our baby boy is turning 2, which means we are in full swing toddler mode!  This little man is so full of life, he always has us on our toes, and is a smart little booger!  If he is not jumping from the sofa to the ottoman, than he is swinging from the rail on the stairs.  If you can’t find him, he is most likely driving his cars and airplanes on windowsills or daddy’s TV. Or possibly feeding Toby an extra snack and testing it out too. Ryan could be outside all day long looking at bugs, snails, lizards, and whatever else we might find. He loves to be my helper, and is by my side in the kitchen making goodies, or pulling the grapes from the stems. It is so fun to see what he loves most, and right now that has been dinosaurs, airplanes, and motorcycles.  Living on base and right next to the air field has only made his love for airplanes grow stronger; you will often hear Ryan say “See, see, airplane!  Mommy airplane, see! "  I cherish the most innocent moments of his toddler hood, it is such a joy to be at home with him and see him grow into this little man God has made him to be.  The sweetest moment I have witnessed yet, was one night we were praying, and I said Amen. He usually likes to chime in with a big AMENNNN! But this night he kept his hands together and said “Daddy home, Amen”.  He loves his Daddy, and usually runs and cheers when Daddy comes home. The time away makes the home comings that much more special.  Jamie and I are so blessed to have him in our lives, God truly knows how to bless us with someone so loving, so courageous, so challenging, and so stinking ornery!  He brings out the best in us and challenges us in ways I never thought possible from a TWO year old!

The boots were often seen during the summer, and sometimes a winter hat! Yes, he already tells me no and likes to pick out his own clothes and shoes!
